Good companion to Vizio flat panel TV's
Bought this as I have a Vizio TV. First off, I like this better than the sound bar. Though I did not place the TV on top of it, it looks good under it (top shelf of the TV stand). This speaker can get so loud. However, the bass is so overwhelming that before you can hear the dialogue, it is already so loud. To improve the sound, I turn down the bass to near zero, turn the treble above half, off all sound processing and place an inch feet ( so the subwoofer will not be very near the surface of the shelf or table). Now, It sounds so good. The LED indicator at first is confusing but once you get use to it, is easy. Sound streaming via blue tooth is also very good. good sound quality at first then -- nada
works well enough, sound quality is okay, just not a lot of bass. one of the annoyances i have found is that it does not have an auto-on feature, it turns itself off after a few minutes of no signal, but, when you turn the tv on, you have to turn this box on too. i have a samsung sound bar on my main media setup that does turn on when it receives a signal which is great. this box should have had that too. what i do like is the small footprint - it fits nicely under the tv and is very indiscreet. UPDATE: i used this for about a week then it decided to not work - nothing - powers up but zero output i guess that is why this was a "refurb" (supposedly a factory refurb). whoever did the checkout of this speaker screwed up royally, but it does make for a shiny paperweight!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Better than expected
Very happy with this product. Came in brown box but seemed brand new. Factory packaged with all the accessories and manual. Clearly never been opened or used. Nice sound quality with decent bass response and the ability to adjust the bass and treble. Many units don't have this feature and I think it is critical. This sounds much better than a sound bar since the larger cabinet has a subwoofer and gives it the ability to "resonate" the sound better. Received a Refurb from Vizio with a badly torn tweeter
I can't believe they would send a unit out like this. We hooked it up to the downstairs TV, which basically is my son's Xbox TV and I instantly noticed a little bit of a crackle off of some of the music in Minecraft. It was at a low volume and Minecraft has some weird music in it so I didn't immediately think anything of it. It otherwise sounded pretty good. But after listening to some dialogue and some different audio tracks I realized they shipped the thing to me, supposedly "manufacturer refurbished", with a torn tweeter. It's a shame too, because this thing sounded good otherwise. I'm a fan of Vizio audio and video products. I feel like overall they provide a great value for the price. By that I mean, I replaced this with a Samsung soundbar that was the same price, but the Samsung doesn't have near the punch as this sound stand had. Worked perfectly, for about 1 day!
Out of the box, it worked perfectly, searching for input, then producing rich, deep, vibrant, surround sound (2.1). Actually, was wonderful. But after 1 day, it lost the ability to find the input from my TV/DISH box. I'm still trying to reestablish it's function, and, If I can get it to work, I'll love it. Lovely sound. Lovely unit. Minor input selection usability issues.

Excellent secondary sound source

Best deal for the $$
Great sound bar -- doubles as a stand so takes up less room and has an integrated subwoofer so no extra speaker box. True, separate subwoofer would have better bass, but huge improvement over TV speakers. Great that it turns off after sensing no input, but wish it would turn on automatically when sensing an input.
