Fishman claims the Loudbox Mini as their lightest and most portable amplified. It lives up to the hype, delivering crisp, tones that make for great acoustic sound. I play it within the house and the 60 watts is enough to wake the neighbors if I were to really turn up the volume. I like the extra potentiometer for reverb and chorus. I wish it had a feedback control switch, but this model does not have the feature.

The Fishman Loudbox Mini is a great value in the instrument/mic combo arena. I used it in performance the other night in a coffehouse setting with my duo partner, and it kicked it out! I played a baritone guitar, standard 6-string, vocals and harmonicas through it with clarity and sufficient volume for the setting...no distortion, no quacking, great reverb. And new to me, used the chorus feature on a song that traditionally had been "just background guitar". i also put my 6-string banjo thru the Mini using a Seymour Duncan guitar pickup wedged under the banjo head [typical setup] with no pre-amp. With some extra gain dialed-in on the Mini, the banjo worked well. Vocals are crystal clear. The only downside for me as a multi-instrumentalist is the need to switch input cables among banjo and guitars, but I knew that when I bought the Mini. I've also used the Mini as a monitor with an output to my Yamaha Stage Pas300 with great success. This amp is a keeper, and at the "demo" price [box was un-opened], you can't beat the value.Read full review

The Fishman PRO-LBX-500 has a huge sound for such a smallish, lightweight amp. I plug my violin's and oud's piezo pickup 1/4" cable into it and the sound is great. I bought a used one on eBay and it's a great deal!

I tried several acoustic amplifiers prior to purchase and Fishman amps sounded the best to my ears. The 60 watt loudbox mini has enough volume to play in a small venue with full band. I've so far used it twice for live performances with a band (including drummer). The first gig, I ran the balanced DI output to a powered monitor on the opposite side of the stage and had a nice rounded sound on and off stage. The 2nd gig, I ran the output to the mixing board and out to the main speakers and stage monitors. The amp was loud enough in both settings to be used as a stage monitor and it sounded great. I use an amp stand to elevate the amp off the floor for better use as monitor.

Works good with my Fishman blender pickup. May sell the LR Baggs GigPro preamp I was using to feed PAs. I'm using a Digitech Vocalist and Shure SM58 into the mic input of Mini. Excellent fidelity, loudness. Plug the mixed mono output into a powered speaker (I have a 1000w EV ZLX 12P) and you have a better PA and monitor than the coffee house has. Superb combo. Electric 12 string guitar with Boss CH-2 stereo chorus, left channel to mini, right channel to Fender Princeton! Changed my life! The shimmering highs from Mini are amazing. Highly recommend the Loudbox Mini, one of the best sound boxes ever.
