Having owned a few lenses for my Fuji XT1, the 23mm f/1.4 was almost always connected to the camera. The full frame equivalent of 35mm, and the benefits of a fast f/1.4 aperture make this lens ideal for many situations. Wide shots with shallow depth of field and low-light shoots are pain-free. The images it gives are sharp all the way to the edges and distortions are very well controlled.

It’s a great lens but it’s built to older specifications and because of this it doesn’t have any resistance to dust etc and it gets into the lens. I had to send mine back.

Wonderful lens. Sharp edge to edge. Even when wide open there is very rarely any need to stop down unless you need greater depth of field. Excellent for low light situations. I have owned and tested two of these recently and I wish I could keep one for myself but I have the 10-24 zoom which is incredible except for the 24mm end which is a little soft. This would fill that hole but I can't have everything. If you test the Fuji X100S or T with it's F2 23mm you will find the quality is as good so take your choice. If you take a 100% cropped image from this lens you won't find any discernible loss of quality. Recommended Highly.
