Don't bend it...
This touch pad is the second of this type I have bought. I have found them to be easy to control - once one gets used to the delicacy of touch (not adjustable). Crucially, they can be operated completely silently, if one chooses not to use the built in mechanical left click. This is a bonus to my partner who finds my normally prolific clicking to be intensely annoying. The device is rechargeable and runs for upwards of a month between charges. Mine runs alongside a wireless keyboard, K360 also by Logitech, which shares the same "Unified" receiver, so only one USB port taken. Note that not all Logitech keyboards, mouses (yup mouses, not mice) are Unified receiver compatible. The main down side to this device is that the sensor surface is glass and it must not be bent - even a little. It was such an error on my part that necessitated the purchase of a second device. It is however, worth noting that it is possible to keep a broken unit going by covering cracked glass with sticky back plastic. My "bent" unit has a large Avery label over the bust glass and a layer of transparent film over that - it still works, just not quite so sensitively. So if you do bust the glass, cover it quick before any goes missing. The other potential downside is that the sensitivity is not adjustable - you have to adjust, the device won't. If that is likely to be a problem, don't get one. I have large calloused hands and spend most days doing some kind of heavy work; then I go all delicate when I take to my PC to record the day's labours.
