GTX 970 Blower cooler
This is a great step up from my GTX 660 and even quieter! Blower coolers are a bit unpopular as they are reputed to be noisy. They won't be as quiet as a 2 or 3 fan cooler, BUT for small PCs like I prefer, a real benefit to getting heat out of the case. I chose an EVGA SC model, as EVGA have a 3 year transferrable warranty, giving a second user more peace of mind.

Good gpu for the money
Great GPU, ran most new games just fine but under high load you can notice the coil whine if you game without headphones, but other than that a great card

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
As of January 2017, pair two GTX 970 cards in SLI (if your motherboard and PSU are SLI compatible) and you will have the best value solution to 1440p gaming and (4k gaming at medium settings). These fall just short of a GTX 1080 when paired in SLI, and a cost of £300 against a cost of £550 for the GTX 1080. The only negative is the power consumption and noise under ultra load, the EVGA is one of the quietest in that respect.
