good for the price
It is not a very fast and precise autofocus lens at all focal lenghts and apertures, but you have manual focus and one can adjust aperture manually also, and like that you can achieve good photos. This is the only lens I have for my Sony Alpha 5100. I used the combination recently at a sporting event and the combination of a fast shutter speed and good depth of field yielded great results. Sony 55 - 210mm e mount lens
Acceptable telephoto image through manual zoom, But forget the use of the wide/Tele facility on the A5000 camera This gives the image a fogging effect. I must agree with a lot of reviews that the aperture isn't great at the top end. Having said all this macro shots are pretty good. And unless you want really close up shots at a long distance I think it's acceptable lens for the price I paid, which was nearly £100 less than the well known electrical outlet where I first purchased the camera.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
