  • Great Quality, Great Price

I was juggling which red dot to purchase for my first AR. I use Vortex scopes on my hunting rifles and have som vortex binos, so this brand was an easy choice. The Sparc 2 was discontinued in favor of the Crossfire, I believe, so I was able to pick this up for about half the cost it debuted at, even being brand new. I picked this one over the Sparc because of the battery life. It came with all the accessories to allow flush, normal or a high mount. I set mine up to be an absolute co-witness with my back up sights. I am happy so far and recommend this unit to anyone if you can find it.

  • Powerful addition to any gun

The rugged construction and the included multiple hight mounting allows this sight to be used on pistols, shotguns or rifles of most any caliber. This is my second SPARC not counting the one I gave my son for Christmas which he too has been very pleased with his SPARC. This is my first SPARC II as the others mentioned are the original version. Having used both, I would recommend either version. All of mine mounted easily and sighted in quickly. They have all held zero with no problem. Highly recommend if you are wanting a red dot type of sight.

  • Sparc II Red Dot Sight- money well spent

I did a lot of research before ordering this sight. I'm new to rifles and had zero experience. I took my new AR and still boxed Sparc II to a rifle class. My instructor was impressed with my choice and helped me mount it. In two days, I went from never having fired an AR, to hitting 100 yd steel targets. I've only had it on the range one other time, as of this review, but I'm very pleased with its performance... and mine. It's easy to use and the different brightness settings can made the dot really stand out, and also dim it to where you have a very fine point of aim.

  • Vortex sparc 2

I have both the gen 1 and gen 2. They have the same mount. The gen 1 has a separate power button while with the gen 2 you push both the brightness buttons. The gen 2 buttons are a little harder to push, but it's brand new. The package included extra mounts, extra screws and the necessary hex wrench. The gen 2 came with removable flip up covers. There's only a few differences from the gen 1. I loved that sight so much I had to get another one to put on another rifle. Vortex only makes the gen 2 now, but it should be just as good, maybe better. It's a great sight for the money, especially for on a defensive carbine. You'll have a hard time going wrong with this sight.

  • good red dot...the warranty makes it even better

I can't believe there are only nine reviews for the SPARC II on ebay... Very clear glass; the dot get plenty bright for full sunlight...but at the lower power settings, it gets very small; and of course you have the Vortex warranty...which is worth a lot IMHO. My only "complaints" are 1. it's a bit bigger and heavier than some of the other budget micro dots (e.g., the TRS-25 and the various Primary Arms models) and 2. because the emitter is at the bottom of the optic (i.e., at about "6 o'clock"), it's not quite as easy to get a co-witness with irons sights on some rifles.

  • Extremely happy!

I just learned that in-expensive doesnt mean inferior quality! And expensive doesnt always mean the best! I will tell you that I felt that for the price this may not be a red dot scope of great quality. I almost ordered a different brand at a much higher cost. I have loved it since the moment I ordered it. Great quality all around!! If you have a qustion about it, the tecknological support is spot on. You wont be sorry you bought it. Very, very nice!!

  • Vortex SPARC II RED DOT SPC-402 MOA

Just bought it Jan. 2017, VERY SATISFIED ! Easy to mount, easy to set up and adjust & sight in to my DP-12 Shotgun within just minutes. Immediately took it outside, shooting ( SLUGS ONLY ) aimed at a ORANGE 45 feet away, Hit First Shot. Moved out to 70 feet, re-sighted it for that distance, Hit Orange in just 2 shots. Not enough to adjust for, IT'S DEAD ON TARGET good enough for me or anybody. Don't hesitate, BUY IT !! SUMMARY == SIMPLE, EASY, ACCURATE !

  • A must have!!

Outstanding!! Adjustments are nice and smooth. They do not have a solid click but they adjust correctly and are smooth. Shot it in in with about 6 shots at 50 yards after a quick bore sight. And shot 6 more times to fine tune the adjustments for 100 yards. It seems to be very solid and well-made scope and holds zero while I played with it and pushed out about 50 rounds and hit everything in the size of a coffee cup at 50 yards. The dot size adjustment is easy and can go down to a fine, fine dot size. I have shot inferior products before and will say I most defiantly can see and feel the difference in quality.

  • Good value for a reliable and durable red dot

The red dot seemed to be more of a comma to me, but it's because I have astigmatisms in both eyes. Try flipping up a rear peep sight and look at the red dot through that to see if the flare or starburst pattern resolves to a dot. If so, it's probably your eyes and not the red dot sight. You can also rotate the red dot sight and if the pattern rotates, the optics of the red dot are at fault. If the pattern orientation doesn't rotate with the red dot sight, the problem is your eyes.

  • Vortex SPARC II Red Dot Sight

Bottom line, the Vortex SPARC II Red Dot Sight is the best red dot sight on the market for the money. You don't have to spend big bucks to get a top quality red dot sight with this sight available. Be careful when purchasing inexpensive sights, the only one for under $200 that works is the Vortex SPARC II & the Vortex AR. I installed my Vortex SPARC II on a Colt AR-15/M4 that I built from lower receiver up using Colt, BCM, Magpul, and Geissler ingredients. It works flawless and holds 1/2" groups consistently at 100 yards THUMBS WAY UP.
