Quiet, Powerful, Useful for Machine Learning / Neural Networks
I bought this card to develop machine learning and artificial neural networks, and I'm very pleased with it. The driver situation for Linux is complicated; unfortunately right now it requires the AMD proprietary driver to run. While it works with the open-source drivers, it doesn't support OpenCL without the AMD proprietary driver. Hopefully this will soon change, as AMD are starting to understand that open source is good for business. Using this for my work, it has massively accelerated what I do. It's highly recommended for this purpose if you use Torch7, and Tensorflow will soon support OpenCL also. This makes it a highly competitive price offering over nVidia's cards. This is also a popular card for crypto-currency / ethereum / bitcoin mining, though I haven't yet experimented with this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
