Great portable drive for those still on Windows XP or those who plug it into a TV
I'm still running Windows XP and I needed a bigger drive to store all my music and films on. 2TB is the max capacity you should buy for this purpose. So this drive is perfect. You also need to partition and reformat it into MBR mode (it comes pre-formatted in GPT which is only usable on Windows 7 onwards). Also, I plug my drive directly into a Samsung TV to watch videos and it will only detect drives formatted in MBR mode. So far, no problems. It's quiet and reasonably quick and the LED light that comes on when stuff is happening is coloured white when connected to a USB 2 device, and blue when attached to a USB 3 unit.
