Doesn't have the signal strength or range as the talk version
I have my sky box in my living room then an hdmi splitter on top with hdmi cables running to 3 other tv's in other rooms, those hdmi have signal repeaters and also hdmi magic eyes that allow me to change channel from the other rooms, I've had this for about a decade but recently upgraded to sky Q. The remote that came with the set that you can talk to to bring up channels works faultlessly all over the house and at about 20 feet away from any of the tv's with magic Eye control or the sky Q box. These will not work for the magic eyes and barely have enough signal strength to operate in the room with the sky Q box at 3mtrs away. All that said this was my third purchase of this item from different manufactures and those struggled to operate at 2mtrs away. It's a shame you can only have one talk version per system.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Set the remote up which is very straightforward as you follow the steps via sky. We have a Sonos soundbar and that also is straightforward to set up. The problem is this remote does not remain connected so if the tv was turned off you needed to re set. I made this happen a few times to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake but it kept happening. I then re set my old remote and that worked perfectly as it always had done and continues to work. As I just needed the battery cover for my old unit I just swapped that over. when it arrives it works everything except the sound. Like most remotes you have to enter the code for your television., I just went into settings on sky and followed the instructions and entered the code, The remote is identical to the one left when we got sky q.
