The Asus Prime is an excellent build product, i can give a 5 star but the lack of GPS function and the good and not excellent of WiFi reception make the 1 star difference. As an 30 years PC user, i can say android isn't the best for tablets, but maybe for phones is, i own a Windows phone and an android and i prefer android even if is lower in specification from the windows phone. The Asus Prime is really light and build like a tank, compared to Apple iPad3 is much better in quality, but the iPad have the best OS in tablets hands down. In the position of camera, i think noone take photos or videos with a tablet 10", so for me isn't so imporant. The screen is excellent and compared to the new iPad3 there isn't difference who you can see, special in outdoors. Playing videos both are realy very good. I don't think anyone anyone an see HD movies in 10" screen and find really big differences between both screens. The Asus transformer screen is much better in touching form iPad3, i think iPad2 is better from iPad3. A big advantage of Asus Prime i the keyboad, a simple idea who transforme a tablet to a very good light notebook, other manufacturers must follow this idea. The way Asus is best is connectivity (SD, microSD, USB, keyboard, HDMI, etc) special with keyboard, in this way there isn't an opponent to Asus and special the iPad3 (same Apple). Overall a very good buy, the Google Store isn't iTunes, but everyday is better in applications.Read full review
Quite satisfied with the product overall. Very handy and I've stopped bringing my laptop everywhere but used this instead. Lightweight and battery-life is sufficient for one day's usage. As soon as you gain internet access the first time, the gadget will install Android 4 for you, which is quite a nice thing!

My Missus has an iPad. How she wishes she had a Transformer. While Apple and Samsung were busy fighting each other, along came Asus and trumped them both with the best tablet PC on the market by far. I have a 64Gb card in the tablet, a 64Gb card in the keyboard, so that's a 160Gb tablet for around £250 all in. A used 16Gb iPad is far more expensive, cannot be expanded and is almost impossible to transfer a file to from anything other than another Apple product connected to another online Apple product. No point being an individual if you buy Apple. Baa. I have two USB ports. I have stereo speakers at the sides. I have a keyboard with a battery in it that means I can get up to 22hrs use. I have Kid Mode that I can dictate which apps can be used, so no watching endless junk on YouTube. I have a mini HDMI output, so I need a £3 lead to connect to the TV, not a £90 Apple TV box. I could go on and on. This is a superior piece of kit to an iPad in every way, except power management. You need to get a good task manager, such as ES Task Manager, so you can kill off the background apps that will flatten the battery. Once this has been done, the battery life is only slightly less than the iPad but with the keyboard attached, it's loads more, whereas blue-tooth keyboards drain the iPad battery. I can use my Transformer they way I like, when I like, load whatever files I want on to it and watch/ listen/ read them. I can transfer any file via Blue Tooth to anyone I like unless they have iPhones or iPads because Apple don't allow that - I had an iPhone for a couple of days, took it back to the shop as I thought there must be something wrong with the blue tooth as I couldn't transfer files, so the nice man explained that Apple don't allow that and I explained I didn't want anyone telling me what I can or cannot do with a device I own and got my money back. As an alternative to a cheap laptop, this is unbeatable and so nice not to be one of the iCrowd, able to reveal all the wonderful features they don't have - I've got this great movie, I'll Blue tooth it... No Blue tooth? I'll put it on the Micro SD card so you can pull it off... How about the SD card..? No memory expansion slot. I'll put it on a pen drive... No USB. Do you want to borrow my tablet?Read full review
A very good quality, flexible and very adaptable tablet device.Running Android 4.0 this device is very responsive, intuitive to use and very fast. Screen changes are seamless and rapid with the touch screen a delight to use. Equiped with a powerful Tegra 3 Quad Core processor running at 1.3 Gigahertz this a very powerful and user friendly PC. The detatchable Keyboard/Dock is very pleasant and easy to use and adds to the flexibility of the tablet as well as allowing for storage expansion with its ability to employ a 32Gb SD card. In fact one of the most useful features of the Transformer Prime is the potential to add another 64Gb of storage to the onboard 32 Gb. This and the native Flash Player allied to the Android Apps Market make this a very serious opponent of the Apple iPad. Overall a very well made device with a host of built in facilities like the two cameras and support for game playing using proprietery hand controllers. An excellent tablet giving 5 star performance both for business or leisure use.Read full review
