Full Featured Receiver
So far this appears to be a very nice, good sounding receiver with a huge number of features. I bought it after reading the Audioholics review. I was going to buy the 870 but chose this higher level unit because it weighed about 10 pounds more than the 870 which I believe would indicate that the amplifier is getting more attention. Yamaha, a great 7.2 channel Receiver
What is exceptional about this receiver besides the automatic speaker setup is the resolution upscaling and 4K pass through. Not only will the receiver push excellent sound through 7 surround speakers including Front, Center, Mid-Surround, Rear Surround but also has a pair of speaker connectors for Front Presence. I am impressed with the ease of using my iPhone via airplay or simply Bluetooth connection. The Receiver has been a great addition to my Media room working well with my Panasonic 4K BluRay DVD Player and Visio P80 TV. The overall sound is sweet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The absolute PERFECT receiver, HANDS DOWN!
Owned Onkyo TX-SR805 before. While I used to prefer Onkyo over Yamaha, I think my tune has changed as this unit sounds AMAZING. More defined highs and lows, surround DSP is amazing too as EVERY SINGLE SOUND is heard in the rears.
