A very handy item
This opener is light yet tough, opening the lids on many sizes of common household bottles and jars. I have lost a lot of strength in a short time and find that the material is a bit too tough to flex easily over medium size lids, but you can fit them in the large hole and pull them down into the smaller holes, so its still do-able. Very hard rubber
I really was surprised at the hard material that this is made from! I can not manage to get it over any jar lids without heating it in hot water first before I try to use it. It is just not pliable at all. So, if I heat it in hot water, I am then able to fit it over lids to unscrew. Would not recommend this for someone who has arthritis. No good for the elderly or anyone suffering with arthritis.
Found this in the drawer last week and tried to see if I could use it again to prise off a very strong jam lid. I had to soak it in hot water before I could apply it to twist off the lid. i would not recommend this for anyone who is older and has arthritis.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Would buy one of these
The material is so stiff anybody other than a body builder could open it wide enough to get over a jar lid. Kind of defeats its whole purpose. If you have the strength to place this over a lid then you probably don't need it to open jars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
