With a maximum power of 650 W and 80+ Platinum certification, it ensures high-quality performance. The black ATX form factor and sleek design make it a stylish addition to your setup. PCIE 2x 8pin (6+2), 2x 6pin.
I was building a high tier PC for gaming and video editing/rendering, so I planned on cranking other components up a notch in terms of power usage. I had pretty much everything bought minus the PSU and RAM.
I had a look around at various other PSU's and I was going to get the EVGA 750 GOLD, I decided to bite the bullet and pay the extra bit for the 850 Plat.
I'm really glad I did. Not only is the design awesome, but the cable management is such a breeze with this. It preforms extremely well for all situations. High end gaming, to editing to just browsing around, The eco friendly option is great too. Very silent also, might I add.
While the cable length is fine and is pretty standard with most PSU's, I would have liked it for it to be a bit longer, but it doesn't take away from a fantastic product.
Would highly recommend this if you're machine is looking to punch some serious power.
If, however, you plan not to do intense gaming/editing or anything hefty really, I would go with the Bronze series, possibly gold, depending.
My first EVGA product and certainly won't be the last. Looking forward to investing in their other products!
