Great expectations...not disappointed.
As an owner of many vintage small bodied Gibsons & Martins, as well as 50's and 60's M20's, I hoped it would not play or sound like a step down. After 50 yrs playing, this is my first ever new guitar purchase, and right out of the box it resembled and equaled the tone of my 30's era Gibson L0, except much easier to fret. This is why I made the decision to buy new, as I'm at the age where I need guitars that are easier on the hands. The great mahogany tone is just what I expect from the Guild name.
