very good soap
Lathers very well and produces typical carbolic scent which can fill the room. Seems to be quite economical and leaves the hands clean and soft. I have used this to wash clothing and the soap rinses quite easily. Perhaps a tad expensive but this type of soap is rare these days.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great 'carbolic' fragrance
Well done, Jupiter Soaps (manufacturer of this fine product); for me, this passes as an acceptable and enjoyable modern equivalent of the much-loved "Lifebuoy" carbolic soap of my childhood. Whilst this soap does not contain phenol/carbolic acid (banned by the EU) like the traditional old carbolic soaps of yesteryear, it still has a strong 'carbolic' fragrance. In my opinion, this distinguishes it from a lot of inferior modern imitations that purport to have a 'carbolic' or 'antiseptic' fragrance, but really have quite a weak smell, and are nothing like the old "Lifebuoy" or modern true carbolic soaps, like Jamaican "Blue Power" or Indonesian "Island Pride". A little expensive but great quality, lovely fragrance and just as useful in the bath as it is on stain removal. Recommended :-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
