Had to file the mount holes a little to retro fit where an old Trico pump was. "In" and "Out" pump connections well marked but determining electrical polarity was by trial and error - wish it was marked + and -. Otherwise, works well on my Morris Minor.

Usually I wouldn't expect much from something at this price, but having read so many reviews saying how great it was I thought I couldn't go wrong. Well I did. The washer motor was absolutely useless. When I could get it to work which was few and far between, the water just trickled out. So I stripped the pump down to see what the problem was. Basically the pumping mechanism is just two tiny plastic cogs, and when the motor spun the plastic was so soft it just sheared off the motor so that the motor was spinning freely in the centre of the cog and not turning the mechanism. I would say best case scenario, if you're lucky and you order one it may work for a little while before breaking. The one I bought didn't even work once.

Bought this for a kid's project. The pump had a very poor output pressure and could barely lift water a few cm. Even on the level it wouldn't have squirted high enough to wash a windscreen. It then seized on the day the project was supposed to go to school resulting in one very upset kid. I decided to abandon returning it in the hope I could get it working and save the day, so I took it apart. One of the pump gears was on a plastic spindle and the spindle had melted. Clearly the design relies on cooling from the water to prevent plastic-on-plastic overheating. So whenever the pump ran dry, the spindle overheated with seizing the inevitable result. I managed to get it freed up and spinning, but it then pumped so little water it was pointless. I managed to get a pump for a Rover from a local motor factors (for not much more than this one cost), which has worked beautifully in the same set-up.Read full review

Excellent little replacement washer pump. The pressure is fantastic for such a small pump. Only problem, there no terminal markings, it's just down to pot luck, but easy to swap over the wires.

When connected to a 12v supply and hoses connected water leaked out at joint on bottom of unit, when I opened it up there was no seal, It would appear that it relies on a plastic to plastic interface to seal the unit or else there could be a gasket or O ring missing. It did pump water though.
