Decent board although keys aren't semi weighted, they have resistance but nowhere near the feel of a piano but that's a fair trade off to be able to have 88 keys on a neat lightweight board to throw around on stage or add to a home studio. The provided Ableton software wouldn't download and the download site didn't work so I can't comment on that. If your connecting this to pc it's fine, I had a little latency on some piano apps but others were fine. If your connecting this to an ipad you WILL need the official apple camera connection kit or it won't work. When connected to the ipad or PC the pad provides the power so no power needed to the keys. I've played this for 5 hours through ipad and an amp and pad only used 20% of battery life. Well worth the price and with the amount of software synths out there why would you spend a lot more on a 61 note stand alone synth? Already gigged it (see photo) worked great.Read full review

Really surprised at how good it is. I am using Garageband so the features on the organ come through that which gives it a surprisingly good feel. Bought as a Lockdown toy for myself and loving it. I will move it to the loft room when the weather is a little cooler but easy to move around the house from living room to conservatory and doesn't run down the battery on my laptop. Using Garageband and some speakers I've already had hours of fun.

Having owned smaller 61 key keyboards in the past, with accompaniment rhythm etc, I decided to go for something more 'professional'. I can't play very well so did not want to splash out alot. Expecting 'tacky' I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. The keys are smooth and nicely weighted and the controls that matter to me work perfect (volume, pitch bend, modulation). I have not tried other controls (buttons). The software supplied (by download) really is worth the asking price alone and I have only installed two of the three packages. As said, I am a novice and as such I have not yet found a downside to this whole package.

I bought this M-Audio Keystation 88 MkII as a MIDI controller for a PC pipe organ software and I have been 100% satisfied with its performance so far. Semi-weighted keys render it a very good choice for this purpose. Fairly easy to carry and store. USB power supply means no hassle with batteries. In addition, this MIDI controller features not only the usual sustain pedal input but also a volume input, which is compatible with M-Audio expression pedals (possibly others as well?) and thus can be used e.g. for controlling a Swell enclosure or Crescendo-Walze.

I was totally blown away by the quality of this product relative to price. Seriously good keyboard, responsive, feels good and a pleasure to play. It came really well packaged with Abelton Lite recording software and a plethora of sounds to wet the creative appetite. Brilliant piece of kit, well recommend.
