Looks like the real deal
Very hard to find original Sony 18650 batts anymore, but this seems to be the real deal. The VTC6 in general is a High Capacity/Low-Mid Amp limit battery around the 19A mark rated for continuous draw. I haven't done my own testing on these batteries but they seem to hold up to the VTC6 description. The wrapper is a bit too thin unlike the previous VTC batteries. Easily damaged. Works well in my RX200S mod, but I wouldn't recommend this as a single battery for high-drain applications. This is more a capacity based battery than a power-drain battery. If you're looking for that, go towards the VTC3 (good luck finding originals of that), or the more reliable LG(?) HB2 or Samsung(?)HG6s.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unsure.....
Nowhere on the battery is it branded Sony. The only writing on the battery is "Danger. Do not use outside of battery pack" I haven't tested the battery to see if it truly is 3000 mAh as advertised. Charges OK. Time will tell.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Batteries.
I bought these batteries to save a little as they were going into a work torch, I wold normally buy the 3500mah batteries otherwise for my personal gear. The batteries have been excellent and last a long time between charges, they are very good value for money in my opinion. You can't go wrong buying a quality brand name like Sony. I run a 1000 lumen bulb from them and they handle it with no problem at all (1 battery in torch and 1 spare which I swap over when 1 needs charging of course). Lan_plus=NO problems
