This is a beast. The log doesn't stand a chance
Set-up took a bit over an hour (1 man). All necessary fluids were included except fuel, of course. It is rated for up to E10 gasoline. Started right up. I've used it on 2 federal cords so far. This is a VERY strong splitter. It plows through complex knots, barely slowing in the process. Everything else is a snap, literally. Vertical configuration is easy to acheive... just pull a pin and lift - it's quite handy with wide logs. Solid axle with no suspension, so tow it gingerly. Makes a difficult job much easier
This item works great, but is very, very heavy. I am a pretty strong woman but I can move it around at all. It takes my boyfriend or brother to do it. But once it is in place, wow! It starts easy and makes short work of a lot of wood. Everything you need to start splitting comes in the crate. We hauled it up to a remote property in pieces and it all fit into a minivan. But it is all very heavy and took a couple of guys to load it in the van. It went together well. The instruction booklet was helpful and not frustrating. Beast
This thing is a beast! It didn’t even struggle with 18” long and 22” around green logs. It’ll chew up and spit out anything you throw at it. Easy to assemble and very high quality! Engine started 1st pull. It comes with 5 gallons hydraulic fluid but holds 6.5; however, I started with 4 gallons and ran it for awhile then added the last gallon and It’s showing perfect on the dipstick. I bought the the log cradle and installed it one the side with the engine and I have to say I’m really glad I did cause it makes it so much easier. I also bought the 4 way wedge, but I haven’t used it yet.
