Forget the smog
We live in a village and rely on wood burning to supplement our heating. Yes, we do get smoke and therefore pollution from our chimney and I roast potatoes in our stove. Yes last month, January, the temperature has barely risen above 2c so our newly acquired ecofan has helped raise the level of our comfort of our house. Just doesn't do what it should
Nothing against the build quality. We have a very small living room and I thought this would have a great impact on heat distribution. The reality is, it has no impact at all. Good option
Cost £100 less than market leading (Canadian) product so good value - I've had them both working on the same stove to see the difference and so far they seem pretty similar. The VH makes a little more noise at full pelt, and my local stove dealer has questioned longevity (well with his costing £100 more, he would say that wouldn't he) - we'll have to wait and see.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best value on E bay
These really make a difference, my last one packed up last week and you could feel the how the heat was stuck around the fire place. I chose this one because of the three propellers (makes it more balanced ) so when it started it was so quite but pushed more heat out as well. I am sure that this little fan has sent warm air into my room. My woodburner is set in an old inglenook fire place so some of the heat goes up the chimney but since this has been in place I am sure the room is warmer. These things work.
Never used a fan of this type before, so unsure if they actually worked at all we went for this a cheaper model. Well it definitely does make a difference to the temperature in an open plan room and for a cheaper model it feels and looks well made. Excellent value for money
Only used a few times but very happy so far. Very good value for money compared to others on the market. Has made a difference to the room temperature. Toe in the water
I have had a wood burner for at least 8 years putting one in in each property we have moved to. I have never used one of the fans before and to be frank, I thought to pay a quarter of my annual log bill based on an average price of £50 for a fan, I have never taken the plunge. Then I saw this item on ebay and thought for the price they are asking its worth a try. Firstly, the experience with the company has been excellent with super communication and fast delivery. The fan, well I have noticed a considerable difference in the room. Before the fire would take about an hour to heat the room all over to a very warm heat. My wife likes the heat so it usually took her an hour to take her scarf off. With the fan the time is reduced considerably and the heat is now distributed far more evenly across the room. Its very quiet 95% of the time, it may just be my unit but there is a point when the unit gives off a faint rattle then this stops as the temperature changes up or down past this point. With a tv on you wont really notice it. That aside I would recommend this product wholeheartedly and my experience of the company has been excellent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

simple design that works
It's a good idea to get the max amount of heat distribution into your room it's looks quite neat sat there on to of the stove. My stove has a backboiler which does take some of the heat from the stove so it doesn't rotate as fast as it could but it still appears to work.
