Samsung Galaxy S7 has software problems with sound over the speaker sometimes it sounds like speaker is cracking. Sound disortion. I've read forums and it seems common problem. After receiving the phone, it had to update several times a day for about 4 days before it had completed all its updates. I was concerned this was a software glitch, but upon checking the internet, it was normal. I have had it for almost 2 weeks and it works fine now. The camera is excellent and it does have a pretty good battery life. It is well made and the voice clarity is excellent. It's nice to use wireless charger so I no longer have to plug the charger to the phone. Also pleasant is the ability to have the phone accept a 128 GB memory card. Great phone. Great price.
Just purchased this galaxy S7 edge brand new for less than $270. Is it an S9 or S8+ no but once the phone is connected it eventually upgrades the OS to Android 8. I'd rather spend a couple of days upgrading the operating system versus spending an extra $500-700 for a newer phone. I've had no issues and don't see why it wouldn't continue to be upgraded.
