Definite improvement over standard seat.
Product seems to be of a decent quality [as you would expect being a genuine yamaha part] and is a direct replacement for the original. No modifications required. The seat is certainly comfier than the standard seat but have not as yet done any long distance touring on it so cant comment on how it feels after anything more than three hours in the saddle. My passenger also says the pillion seat is way comfier and no "numb bum" after an hour or so. All in all i would say it is a worthwhile mod.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as comfy as I had hoped
Nice well made seat with Gel pads but a gap in middle and at back of seat where its missing padding. Not as comfortable as I had hoped. Drove for 3 hours and found myself moving about. Maybe it just doesn't suit me and may suit others but think standard seat is same/slightly better and even it is not great either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worthwhile upgrade
Bought to replace a stock seat on a Yamaha Tracer 900GT. It is an original product, so it fits perfectly. The original seat was more akin to a plank of wood and it tended to make you slide forward into the tank. The comfort seat is very different, it is comfier, yet still quite firm. It no longer tips you forward and makes for a better riding position. It has increased the saddle height, whereas I was flat foot with both feet I am now on tiptoes for both feet. I am 5'11 and can easily get one foot flat so it isn't a problem but if you are struggling with the stock height, you need to bear this in mind. I am a motorcycle instructor and I can spend up to 8 or 9 hours in the saddle in a day. The proof of the pudding is the fact that I can get off the bike at the end of the day and still be able to walk! Previously I would have to ease myself off the bike and allow a bit of recovery time before walking away (Yes I am old!). All in all, this is a lovely piece of kit and would highly recommend it if you aren't getting on with the stock seat. One very minor gripe, the stitching doesn't match the pillion seat, no big but it just niggles ;-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
