B12 1000mcg is equal to 1 mg. Take 1 mg daily x10days. It will make low B12 normal. If b12 is normal it will have no effect . It will be passed out in the stools - not absorbed. No side effects. If you use less than 1mg daily - the effect is lost . It will not make the low b12 normal.
