My experience: I had to have help getting it to connect to my iPhone, but it worked well after that. There is a path to follow that is not specified and it has to be searched for. I would recommend planning for the need to have time to figure out the set-up process or getting assistance.
Also, I was advised to plan to turn it on the night before so it can get an update before midnight: not doing so can lead to operation problems the next day as in not working right.
It works great! I get it synced at the start of the show and when needed, it works quickly and with no problems: love it. I set up a few products ahead of time but was also able to simply add amounts individually. Also set up the local sales tax and it simply did it all. Lower fee charged than if using the older swipe style. Extremely pleased with the whole process.
