Amazing quality picture
Bought this as an upgrade from a 1080p Sony SXRD projector and all I can say is WOW! Images are super crisp and clear and bright. I'm using a 92 inch screen and it has fantastic resolution - you cannot see pixels even standing right next to the screen. 3D capability is also excellent, the effect seems better than watching on a flat screen TV for some reason, but note you have to buy the sony 3d glasses separately - I already had some that came with my sony TV in another room.

A huge step up from my old full HD projector
Picture is fantastic. Colours look lovely. Pin sharp lines with no fuzziness. Can see fibres and patterns on actors' clothes that could not be seen before. Plenty bright enough in my living room with curtains closed. I upgraded from a full HD Panasonic projector, which was very good in its day, but this is so much better. Supports every recent picture technology. I'm feeding it with movies on a Panasonic 4k Blu-ray player, which look amazing, fulHD tv signals from a Manhattan PVR, which looks good, plus 4K youtube video from the Panasonic and the Manhatton, which is also very good. Motorised zoom and shifts are really easy to use. I have done no calibration yet, just spent time oggling the out of the box picture. No idea what most of the remote control buttons do yet, and there are lots of them. Just be aware, it is huge! and very heavy, at least twice as big and heavy as the one it replaced and I had to fix a new support to the ceiling joists to hold it. But well worth the effort.
