great camera
This camera takes amazing photos. If you want a point-and-shoot for everyday things, this is not the best for that. But it is wonderful for still photography, especially when you get to know the features and how to use them. The photos are crisp and beautiful. The only problem I had was zooming in on a firefly with the basic Sony lens, which I bought separately. This is a lightweight camera with a good size. Great camera for a great price
Great camera, and awesome price to performance. I've upgraded to the a6400 from my a5100, and everything works well. FYI, I received the PAL version (i.e., non-U.S.), so I get a little message each time I switch batteries that needlessly reminds me I have set the camera to NTSC. Amazing camera!
This camera is just as good quality as the Canon 6D that I had before I bought this. I absolutely love the eye-tracking autofocus. Amazing video.
Amelia is it for video and for that purpose it’s extremely sharp, the auto focus works much better than the a6500. And the tilt screen comes in super handy. Also the battery life is better than the a6500. Great Hybrid Video/Still Camera
My previous camer was a Sony A3000. While a decent little camera it is old and very basic in its operation. The Sony A6400 is much more advanced in its operation. Its real time autofocus is incredible and so is it video features. With 11fps still capture I have been able to get some great wildlife shots as well. There is a bit of learning curve in comparison to the A3000 but so worth it. I find that his camera will be my go to from this point until i am able to reach my goal of going pro. Its form factor is much smaller than a full frame mirrorless as well as a dslr. I find that to work in my advantage due to weight being a issue with what I do. Great overall! Not the best audio or selfies for this owner.
It's a great camera overall. Lots of options, sharp images, fast autofocus while filming. Great quality image, even in fairly dark settings. Very fast at taking pictures when set for continuous snapshot while holding the button down. The biggest down side, however, is that it doesn't have the best audio recording when filming. Not only is the sound not great, it's also unbalanced. By that, I mean it makes the kind of video in which you'd have to turn the volume up and down because some parts are louder and lower than others. Or you can edit the video, split the audio tracks into sections, and raise the volume on some parts and lower it on others. I also don't like the way I look in this camera as much as I did in one of it's older models, a5000. That's why I still have both. Otherwise, it's great!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good camera choice and more likely to be in hand when you want to use it.
I am a long standing Canon APC user and I am satisfied with the camera's lighter smaller design and with significantly more features.
