A well designed and made rolling pin.
Bought as a gift and might be some time before it is used but the article does seem well made and should do what it is supposed to do i.e. making a better job of getting the pastry the right thickness. The only reservation is how long the graduations marked on the roller will last as they just seem to be printed on the roller and will eventually be removed due to regular washing. However that seems a minor point as they are just there as guidance to the size of the pastry being rolled. No different to a regular wooden rolling pin! No doubt it will be worthy of 5 stars after using it. The important thing is whether the screw fittings at each end are durable and easy to unscrew as they will have to be removed to fit the chosen rings - and they do seem to be. I thought it might be possible to fill the roller with cold water for certain types of pastry but not so. Again not important but I mention it in case other buyers have that in mind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The rolling pin comes with 4different thickness adjustments which is great but can be a pain to keep changing as you have to unscrew the ends to change the discs. The dough does tend to keep sticking to the rolling pin as its metal and the metal can warm up with your hands which isnt great if your working with fondant.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I actually use it (I don't bake cakes, pies etc.) as a tool with my craft modelling hobby, for things like level flattening of Clays, GSW Blue Stuff and melted softened surplus sprues etc. Perfect for 2 and 3mm thicknesses which i mainly use. It is not as heavy as I would have liked it to be, but still does an excellent job. I love using the rings to give me a really nice even pastry thickness. (I had a tendency to roll my pastry a little too thin in places sometimes) Feels good quality and cleaned up nicely in the dishwasher.
