Review of 'VonHaus 800W Reciprocating Saw'
I would recommend running the saw without a blade in for up to about 10 minutes at the slowest speed setting before using under load in order to let the motor brushes bed in because my saw seemed to spark inside when I first powered it up. the blades it comes with work well enough but dont cut too fast with the metal blade because it will get hot and loose it's sharpness. i have used it to cut up to 2.5 inch aluminium and plastic pipe. and up to 2 inch steel and stainless pipe. it can work on up to 3/16 steel plate also and 1/4 aluminium. for under 30 quid it's a great value saw.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I can only say good things about this product as there is nothing bad, it is easy to use, strong but small enough for me a woman of 72yrs to use, I have taken down in just 1 day 10, 7' fir trees with a spread of 4' leaving just the main trunk, this tool is truly amazing. although quite heavy, the saw is robustly built and cuts very well, using the 150mm wood saw blades. have so far cut lengthways through five foot fencing panels and through general timber up tp 75mm thick, without any problems at all. saves an awful lot of energy, as Im 76 now and its been a godsend. excellent product and price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well but vibrates a lot which hurts the hands.
Saw arrived quickly and worked well. I used it to cut out several tree stumps. Gloves must be worn when using because there is a lot of vibration in use which numbs the hands and makes them sore. Its important to have the saw stop hard against the item being cut to reduce vibration. There may be less vibration when using a finer saw than the one I used.
