For me it was an upgrade from 4th gen CPU. Performance wise with 9900K (from a 4790K) Go figure! Thunderbolt 3 support was important for me with an add-in card from Gigabyte supported (even using Linux)

Good Solid board.
Solid board, vrms are very solid they Never get hot even when benching prime 95 for 8 hours, Enabled me to push my 9700k to a stable 5.2Ghz, only Bad thing i would say about this board and most boards like it is the on board sound the realtek sound is bad, if you good sound, getting a dedicated sound card of external amp/Dac is a good idea.
