Bought this to put in a window but didn't put it in the glass but made an MDF replacement for the double glazed panel. I painted it with exterior paint and then installed the cat flap. This was easier than I thought it was going to be. The kit came with a template which I secured to the panel marked out the hole and the two drill holes that the flap together. The kit comes with a selection of different length screws to suit different thicknesses of door or window. Very simple and easy to do. All you need is a drill a jigsaw and a screwdriver. Idiot proof
