When you get a good one its a great tool.
My first experiences with the Sealey PP series tools was very poor. Initially I bought the PP1 which arrived with a fault making it totally unusable. Having sent it back and got a credit I decided I would try again but this time with the PPX, it also had a similar fault of the LED constantly on and not detecting POS or NEG at probe tip. Fortunately this retailer got Sealey involved and 24 hours later I had another direct from Sealey, it works perfectly. Now I have a working one I have been able to test it out and it is a great little tool making circuit tests and components tests very easy. I wish I had bought one years ago. PROS Light weight. Long leads, good quality clips. Lights for dark corners. Two buzzer tones one for negative one for positive. CONS In view of the problems I had I do wonder about the build quality and quality control. The buzzer has no option to turn it off so it could be annoying to others nearby. Poorly built
The probe does what it's supposed to but the build quality is poor. The two halves of the probes body were out of alignment so that the moulded screw halves on the body's probe end did not match so the screwed cap did not screw on properly. The rocker switch did not sit properly on the body because it had not been soldered on to the circuit board correctly. The cables exiting the probes body are not protected by the outer sheath and are liable to fray at this point. Whilst opening the body to realigning the two halve I found one cable had part of its insulation striped and the wire exposed , this may have occurred during initial assembly of the two halves.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent piece of kit.
I used this to sort out a friends camper she had just bought. This probe makes life so easy. I checked continuity of wires that hat been joined that had changed colour. Tested a relay to make sure it worked, found where fuses we’re connected to on a split charging system also. I used to work for the AA so have electrical knowledge. I would definitely recommend this probe but be advised make sure you know what your doing especially on modern cars because damage can easily be caused to the electricsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bench Testing made easy
I needed to bench test a 12v electric window motor prior to fitting, this product when connected to a car battery or jumper pack makes it both portable and easy to use. Green means its working red means its not, link it up to the 12v source and you can see if something is working off the vehicle. An excellent tool.
This probe works perfectly in determining whether a circuit has positive, negative or no feed. The power up ability and target illumination are very useful too. It doesn't have a digital voltage readout but I read the description and knew that before I ordered.
