  • Efficient saw for pruning trees

I bought saw after seeing it being used by professional tree surgeons and having a chance to use it on a sizeable tree. The draw cut is simple and less effort than the traditional push cut. The slightly curved blade is easy to use and allows clean cut in a confined space. The belt mounted scabbard-like holder clips the blade in securely - useful when both hands are needed mid-job. It's a shame that virtually everything is black. The older version I tried had a red handle which was easier to see.

  • In my view, the best handsaws money can buy.

My second Silky saw which simply amazes with the speed and ease of cut. Had a lot of heavy pruning use in just a couple of days since delivery. I should have bought one sooner. Great substitute for small chainsaw whilst limbing in awkward spots.

  • Not cheap but good quality, very sharp and did the job well !!

Bought cheap saws in the past and they end up being thrown away, so decided to invest in something decent and was not disappointed. Used it to cut off about 3 feet off 12 foot high row of beech trees - no problem. Use it as it is supposed to be used and cut on the pull stroke only. Minimum effort does the job quickly and would recommend + when you pay a higher price you look after your tools better !!

  • Excellent Silky Zubat saw and holster, I...

Excellent Silky Zubat saw and holster, I’m very pleased. Makes light work of tree pruning jobs and cuts extremely cleanly as expected. Thanks!

  • Expensive, but excellent.

While the cost was high the performance of the saw is wonderful. There were inch thick branches of our leylandi hedge that this cut through with four or five long strokes. It was less effort than using loppers and can cope with thicker branches than even the largest loppers. It made the job enjoyable so for me the cost was worth it. I think I can probably do without loppers altogether now and just use this instead.

  • Amazing product and amazing customer service

I bought this saw for camping and bushcraft and wow. A tree surgeon I was speaking to says he said he wouldn't bother starting his chainsaw for a branch under 6 inches with this saw. Also the customer service I received when the post office mislaid my parcel was second to none. This is the best saw you can buy and you can tell why it's expensive.

  • Good does the job it is supposed to. Long term use still to be reviewed.

only used a couple of times due to rain and winter weather. Cuts well and cleanly, need to ensure it is kept clean as wood shavings can collect when wet.

  • Next best thing is a chainsaw

This is an amazing saw the only thing that cuts green wood better has an engine on it.

  • Worth its weight in gold!

Likely to be the sharpest curved Japanese pruning saw you'll ever find and it cuts on the pull stroke which is very comfortable.
