Works. Comes with key. Tested on bench, comes exactly as you see. Nothing else is included. 888 model, 450248 specific sub model. I set code to 9973 to test. You can reset and enter codes as you like. Only one of the small screws for the back trim piece is present. Will work fine with just one screw, or you can find replacements.

Slim profile and OEM deadbolt for Vivint security systems
I've been trying to find the deadbolt model that came with my Vivint security system. The model 888 is not heavily advertised so it took me a bit to figure it out but once I did, this was priced well and was in an un-opened box. It has a rubber gasket to create a better seal between it and the door unlike some of the other models. Another big plus is the interior half is much smaller than the 907 and 909 models. The 913 has a similarly sized interior piece but the 888 has a much more slim exterior piece. Although I prefer the 10-button keypad, the style and size of the 888 makes this model my preferred smart deadbolt for my Vivint security system. It's easy to add to Vivint and works flawlessly. My original front door 888 has been in use for about a year and is at about 40% battery so the batteries appear to last for quite a long time. Extremely happy with the Kwikset SmartCode 888 deadbolt and makes entry, arming, and disarming of my system much easier for my guests and house-sitters.

I wasn’t impressed. I was never able to get the Z wave paired with Samsung. Paired to other deadbolts the key mechanism is very sensitive to screws being too tight or too loose. The unit is heavy, so the installation has to be extremely tight

Kwikset 888 Z Wave Plus works with Ring
Works great with my Ring Security system. Opens and closes from App. One drawback is that the keys do not light up. It has been very reliable. For the price its worth it and I would buy it again.

The only thing it doesn’t do that my old one did was when you set the alarm and the door is unlocked it will not lock the door. My old one did. Other than that it works and looks great.
