I have to say, as a pretty casual gamer, few games really immerse me, but this is absolutely immersive, action-packed, and cute! I love the top-down (pseudo-3D) graphics style, and the characters have such wonderful personalities, even the bosses do as well! The game gets the balance right in my view in terms of difficulty. It doesn't seem so easy to me that I can just breeze through, however, I rarely find myself getting completely stuck at a puzzle or at what to next, as The Owl and also Ulrira (via the telephone) generally gives you a hint. There are also stone statues around the place that give some helpful hints, but also sometimes cryptic wafflings. Note: I have not played the original on GameBoy, and my only Zelda experience so far has been a brief play of the N64 Zelda game (Ocarina of Time) which I found a bit frustrating, but then again it was my stupid ex's game who was particularly unhelpful! So to Zelda diehards, it may not be as good of an experience, perhaps?Read full review

It's no Zelda: Breath of the Wild but emulates the classic top-down, Gameboy 16bit with a smooth, slick new look. A great game and simple controls with a lot less playing time compared to it's BotW version.

Played this as a child, thankfully I have forgotten most of the game play so this feels like a new game. Looks amazing, plays amazing. I'd say one of the best the switch has to offer.
