The MXR FOD Drive combines the power of two overridden AMP stacks in a compact effect pedal. For years, professional musicians and sound tinkering have been combining several amplifiers on stage and in the studio to create completely new sound options with the ideal mixing ratio. The MXR Design Team continued this approach and carefully analyzed two specially coordinated amplifiers. One of the amplifiers was modified for a 'super scoop' high-gain sound, the other adapted for a rich mid-range crunch. The combination of the two amplifiers convinced with an incredibly complex, harmonious range of different sounds, drive styles and tonal possibilities. The MXR FOD Drive offers an exact emulation of the two amplifiers in two separate channels (High Gain and Crunch Gain), which can be controlled.
