a bad buy
this item had lots of good reviews so I bought it on that basis. When it arrived in Amazon packing plus an Amazon sales invoice it looked good but I needed to use it straight away only to find that a) it just about shredded 2 sheets and it I put three or more in only half the items would be shredder b) the 'safety' window was open to the World and would be very dangerous to small fingers c) I doubt very much whether a credit card would be shredded at all d) very flimsy and easily tippable-over as it did several times during my shredding. As I am a Pensioner I cannot afford to buy unreliable goods and I will have to replace this one as soon as I am able to afford it! I also went on to the reviews from both eBay and Amazon for this item only to find almost the same comments as mine on both sites!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Compact item, light weight and easy to store. However, does not shred credit cards and had to cut them up. Could only feed 1-2 A4 sheets each time, as the paper tilts and shreds at an angle and gets stuck and then you have to switch to 'reverse' mode to release. Waste of Money.
Had this shredder a few months now and use it daily. It only shreds 1 A4 page at a time not the 6 stated on shredder. Depending on paper thickness, it can fully shred but it can also just cut page slightly but strips don't separate into individual strips [I just recut with scissors when this happens]. It will continue shredding paper even when the top is off the bin as there is no safety cut-off! [This was found out when my 4 yr old Grandson accidently knocked the shredder over when he ran to hug me] I would not recommend this shredder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is something I can’t live without, so when my existing shredder gave up the ghost, I searched one out immediately. This was such good value, I ordered it,, it arrived as promised and I used it the following day.
