Rubber Soul inspired Brian Wilson to write Pet Sounds which in turn inspired Sgt Pepper. The 2009 stereo remasters are very well done and Rubber Soul is no exception. The 7 engineers at Abbey Road Studios resurrected these tapes which were in the vault 40+ years.

I had this LP when it first came out and remember distinctly where and who I was with, my first real girlfriend, I was eighteen! I’ve never heard it since then. We were both absolutely thrilled with it. So to be back there as soon as I heard the first intro is amazing. Good quality and to my ear exactly like the original vinyl. Great thanks.

I purchased this product because my other one was played to death. This is one of my favorite LPs. I thought it was very cool that it was labeled a mini LP. The only problem I encountered was when I tried to play it on my computer. The intro video (which I love) kept starting up at the same time as the CD. After a few tries I got it right. There is no way I can make a comparison with any of The Beatles music. What can I compare it to? Each song is unique. I have never witnessed that before. Each song they wrote bore no resemblance to any other song. They were musical geniuses, far ahead of their time, kind of like Pied Pipers, you know? Their music will never go out of style.
It took them long enough to finally reissue the Beatles catalog in a CD format that almost sounds as good as the original LP recordings. Personally, I wish they'd issue them in DVD-A or SACD format as well, but that's not likely to happen. Until then, this is a pretty good effort. I prefer the Mono CD version as it contains both the original Mono and the original Stereo mix on the same CD. So it's really like getting a double album. It also allows you to compare them back to back and see which you prefer. I found myself preferring the Mono mixes on most tracks, with the exception of "What Goes On" which is missing some of George's guitar track in the Mono mix. Listen carefully to the ending of both Mono and Stereo mixes where it's most obvious. If you're a Beatles fan, you'll be glad you bought this disk.Read full review
Rubber Soul was my favorite Beatles album from decades ago. This CD has quite a few of my favorite songs, especially Norwegian Wood. This replaces a lost album. Great buy.
