  • Research evidence that our consciousness is not brain-based

Objectively researched evidence by a sceptical journalist, evidence which must stand up to scrutiny to merit inclusion, and with four equally well-written and articulate chapters contributed by qualified medical professionals in this field. It isn’t religious, but provides compelling evidence that our consciousness is not merely brain-based (although it largely operates through it for our lifetime). If you read only one* book on the possibility of life-after-death, make it this one and then decide if the evidence is persuasive to you. As with any subject, unless you look at evidence about it, you are not (in my view) able to give anything but an ill-informed opinion. This comment most certainly includes matters around our consciousness, which is one of the great unknowns in science. Due to its objectivity, this is a significant contribution to this subject. And it's fascinating. Highly recommended. (*A close second for ‘only one book’ is After, by Dr Bruce Greyson, on Near Death Experiences, the best book on the subject, amongst many).
