  • Fits VW Transporter T5 Shuttle with aircon

This item fits a 2004 VW Transporter T5 Shuttle with aircon perfectly. The only noticeable differences between it and the original VW part relate to the wiring from the connector to the motor itself being somewhat lighter and also the increased flexibility of the plastic housing. The VW housing is much stiffer and of better quality but when fitted into place, it really doesn't matter. Given the difference between the price of a new VW motor and this one, I consider this to be the perfect replacement. There are cheaper models but it seems they do not suit T5s with aircon. Change your resistor at the same time for peace of mind and if your pollen filter has been in there since the van was new, change that too. It is especially easy to do when you have the lower panel of the dash out to change the motor. You'll be rewarded with a good blast of clean air which in my book is infinitely preferable to a knackered old motor doing its level best to go up in smoke.
