Jacquot at his best
A really fine picture by Benoit Jacquot. Contrary to so many adverse comments about it, I think it rates among one of his best. For those whose taste veers towards Walt Disney, this is not for you. No special effects, no explosions, no miraculous recoveries from the intensive care ward: just a very convincing human drama involving a frustrated coup de foudre between two rather lonely characters who meet randomly one night but get separated by force of circumstances. Without going into details, the story is very well developed from there on, and extremely well acted. It kept me glued until the very end. If you like serious French films about human relationships, this is for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
