i picked up this book shortly after it was delivered, I have in the past read many stories about the treatment of Jewish people, some of it was very graphic reading, and quite horrifying what the human race can do. Indeed this book shows, exactly how people who you once thought of as friends and neighbours, can be intimidated and turn against you. The author thought of himself as German firstly and his Jewish roots came second. It certainly makes you realise the extent of the atrocities and the level that human beings can descend too and become immune to the consequences of their actions. It always has a positive note to it, despite the unimaginable horrors of his time in the camps, there is always so much self belief and the amazing where wit all too overcome it. It undoubtedly will be among the last of the books by Holocaust Survivors. I hope and pray that this book and others like it will continue to be read, so that these atrocities never happen again, but looking at current history, I have my doubts. I am not Jewish, but have great respect for them, my wedding suit was made by Jewish Tailors, who were the pinnacle of Customer Service. I wholeheartedly commend this book.!!!!!!! IRead full review

Very compelling, inspiring book 📖 A must read as it teaches you so much about how to be more grateful 🥲 and more positive a lot more in your own life, after this incredible man survived the sheer hell on earth 🌍 that was Auschwitz. Definitely recommend it
