Excellent clean food steamer, larger than expected, and solidly built with steel and glass parts in the hot area
It is a very good steamer, but a little harder to set up than the really simple ones that just ask for time and push start. This one needs you select which tray to heat, and if you want high or low steam as well as the time. But it is ok once you have read the instructions. The steaming quality is outstanding. The construction is solid. The reason I bought it is because it only has stainless steel or glass in the hot zones. This way we don't have plastic exposed to steam like the cheap steamers do. The only downside is that with the large stainless steal cover, you cannot look inside without taking the lid off. The smaller pots do have glass covers, so if you want to see your food cook, use the two pots instead. I haven't tried the synchronized finish feature yet, but it sounds perfect once I know how long to cook each type of meal. Definitely recommended.
the product produces steam fast and with the 2 pans has alot of room to steam alot of products and you can steam different products at different times at the same time!
This is the best steamer I've ever owned, hands down. It is also the largest I've found in terms of cooking surface area (oblong sub-base). All material with which food comes in contact is either stainless steel or glass. I can put the pans/lids in the dishwasher at high-temp, on any rack, without worrying about damage (as opposed to my earlier plastic models). I also love the fact that I can put two stacks of bamboo dim-sum steamer baskets (up to 7-7/8" Outside Diameter) directly on the unit in place of the pans.
