Anna Jacobs is a wonderful writer. Once I start to read one of her books I can't wait to see how her book ends! This is part two of a saga just after World War two and the story continues with the same main characters, with others added, revolving the efforts made to rescue a large family home which has been quite badly damaged due to military occupation when they took over the property as a hospital for the wounded. As always with all her books Anna Jacobs has hit the jackpot yet again. A great insight into how some people had to manage after the war.
