Needs Modification
Unfortunately I fell into the trap of buying a cheaper model than my original Alvey pump and basically got what I paid for ! I suppose for the money its Okay but needs modification ( make your own plunger out of silicone sealant ). The pump washers are quite stiff and when tightened down make pulling the plunger quite hard even when lube applied. If you slacken off its easier but you loose the all important suction. The threaded bar end is only 1/2 the total diameter of the top part and drilled to accept a cotter pin to secure the plated wingnut which is a pain when adjusting the tension. The barrel, handle etc.. are quite well made but shame there was no lube hole like on the Alvey's but for £30 I may be too critical. Only used it once along side my narrower Alvey and it underperformed 10-1. I'm not giving up though as mentioned earlier I have made a new silicone plunger and it already appears smoother, albeit without actually being on the beach but the upside down suction test on the palm of the hand certainly gives me hope ! it wont be sent to the car boot just yet !!!
