We have one of these in the bedroom, but if I only had a small flat I'd use it as my main stereo. We've had ours a long time and it still works well, so we bought this one for our grandson. It's a great little sound system for it's size and price, and for me the ability to play not just CD's but cassette tapes is invaluable, especially with markets constantly trying to outdate equipment and media formats so we have to throw everything away and start again. It does have an aux in for those who insist on the low sound quality of MP3's and other modern devices, but if you turn the bass boost OFF (it's not good) and turn it up a bit (not too loud) CD's and especially tapes do sound good. It's neat, sits on a shelf, and I've been known to move it into the kitchen to accompany my decorating - with separate speakers it's not quire as easy as an all in one boom box, but it's a 10 second job to unplug them - and there's the usual timers and a handy clock. Don't take notice of the high-fi freaks who slag it off - of course it's not a 200 watt £1,000 ear crushing hi-fi stack! I only hope they still make them if ever I need another - highly recommended.Read full review
