Although it was mentioned on the advert I didn't realise that the phone would be all in chinese. This meant that I had to click on all the symbols to eventually find the settings and then the translate icon. This took a frustrating 3 hours. First Android Phone
After 5 years I've finally taken my first steps to leave the Apple ecosystem, after my trusty iPhone 5s' speaker failed. I consider the hardware of this phone spectacular value compared to the iPhone 7 I was about to buy (but the price and delivery time put me off). The camera is great and I've managed to emulate pretty much the features that I'm used to from iOS. The software isn't quite as polished as Apple's and sometimes the experience can be a bit disjointed, particularly the notifications that don't show on the lock screen, and are slightly erratic when they do come through (sometimes they work, sometimes they don't - maybe something to do with Huawei's power management? Really good phone
I needed a new mobile phone after my iPhone 6 just died. I was a loyal iPhone user until recently. I decided to try the Huawei because I had seen they take good photos. I am pleased with the functionality. Some of it is better than iPhone some is not as good. Overall I really like Android now and am pleased with the choice. This supplier duly sent the phone really quickly but it had no charge in it at all and came with no charging lead which just meant I couldn't use it for another day while I waited for the lead to arrive from a separate order. It did say there were no other accessories due to arrive with the handset in the product description, I was just frustrated at the delay in being able to use it. This is a lovely phone, the screen has a great resolution and responds very well to swipe navigation. Despite only having one speaker, the sound produced is loud and clear and of a decent quality. It's octocore processor easily copes with internet use and there is no lag when gaming. The dual lens Leica camera takes very good pictures and has plenty of advanced options for those who like to fiddle :-) The phone itself feels nice in the hand, and is secure despite the smooth back. I've already dropped mine a couple of times, and the phone hasn't taken any damage so seems to have good build quality. The Emote UI Huawei use can take a bit of getting used to, but isn't really a NY worse than Touch Wiz on Samsung phones. For a phone with such a strong chip, it's quite moderately cheap! Comes with all the modern features of a smartphone but for less, of course it's missing some flagship features since it's a 2016 phone, such as 2K screen or USB 3. Runs very fast with a great octa-core chip and powerful T880-MP8 graphics. One noticeable downside is the microphone and speaker. The microphone quality is much lower than expected when recording louder sounds and the speaker playback isn't great quality, but if you can stand for that, the phone is excellent, from design to features!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
