Gamers join a young boy and a fantastic beast as they explore a world filled with mystery and peril in The Last Guardian. The action features a mix of third-person platforming and puzzle solving, and the story begins when the young boy is kidnapped and taken to an expansive castle, where he discovers a large chained up creature named Trico that appears to be a mix of dog, bird, and dragon. As the boy, gamers can run, jump, and climb, though much of the action involves finding ways to communicate or influence the behavior of Trico to escape guards and solve environmental puzzles. As the story progresses the bond between the boy and Trico grows stronger, and it will become slightly easier to control the beast's wild behavior, though players must also take care of the creature, removing spears and arrows from its body, or leading it to food. Trico's tail is capable of shooting lightning bolts, and the boy can eventually acquire a mirrored shield to redirect the bolts at enemies or help solve puzzles.

The long awaited "The Last Guardian"
Like everybody in the gaming world, we have been waiting for this game for a long time. So much hype went into this game and delays. I finally got to play it last weekend. It has flaws but the graphics on the environment and Trico are gorgeous on the PS Pro. It did borrow some mechanics from Ico and Shadow of Collossus, the company previous title (which was great). The flaws are sometimes when you call upon Trico he doesn't respond to your command. The puzzles are similar somewhat with Ico. This is my review so far from what I played. Too busy with work and my family.

Pulls the heartstrings.
I like this game very much. This game pulls my heartstrings because it is spellbinding and a beautifully illustrated. Tricco the birddog and the little Boy elicit happiness and tears throughout their journey. As I played this masterpiece of a game more and more, I became attached to both of them. It is a tragic, turbulent, adorable and loving story of a bond between two lost souls. I highly recommend this game.

This game is simply just amazing. I didn't even play it on PS4 Pro and it still looked beautiful. The story is awesome and has a very emotional drive to it, while still throwing in some intense action parts here and there. I definitely recommend this game!

The game I've always wanted
It's magical, the creature friend is as living and understandable as any I've ever seen in a game. The play is consistently interesting, mysterious, and solvable, without being overly difficult. When stuck, it's usually because I'm trying something that just isn't supposed to work. And then the answer is more elegant or straightforward than I thought. But it isn't a button masher or a shooter, so don't get this if you are into intense action all the time. It's more of a puzzler/living movie experience. In my opinion, it's designed to be played "as if" it's real, in real time. Listen to your beast, watch him/her, trust it. But don't expect it to solve the game for you, it's just a pretty smart animal - you're the hero.

Fun Game
I really enjoyed the game. Hard to put down. Story is really fresh. Would love to see a sequel. The minute I started playing I thought it would make a great movie or at very least a graphic novel. Only problem with game was there did not seem to be very many trophies for segment completions.

Breathtaking & Mesmerizing!
This game has to combo of puzzles & battle, so you get the best of both worlds. It's very unique and inventive, with a Dog-Griffin creature that you fall in love with instantly!; Trico is by far one of the best video game creatures out there, although I will admit that it can sometimes be bothersome that this magnificent beast randomly decides to remind you that he has a mind of his own and will not always follow commands smoothly - but that's actually realistic, as any wild Beast in our world or the videogame universe has its own personally and cannot be fully tamed. Besides that small issue, the game is incredible and like nothing you played before. And it's just fun to watch too so someone else plays, so it's a great game for families & friends. It's clear the developers worked tirelessly on this game, because the graphics are some of the best and the everything about this game is fantastically unique. I definitely recommend but I think it's best for older kids & up, as it's a Little tricky an smaller kids might not be able to play.

Amazing game.
I started it up just to see what it was like with the intention of going back to Spider-Man and I ended up getting hooked and playing it for four hours the first night. I've since had dreams about it and have been daydreaming about going back to that world. Once I clear a couple of games from my backlog, I'm going back to The Last Guardian.

Great PS4 Exclusive title.
PS4 Exclusive. Good calm and relaxing game. Unlike other various games that require more real quick thinking and fast quickness this game takes things in another direction as far as game play. Liked the story, it is tricky a little bit thinking will be required but its a relaxing game the music, characters, and story line itself.

If you like shadow of colossus and ico then you might like this. This game is from the same developers and is a mix of the two. Awesome game and I'm almost at the end. Go buy it! 10/10

Quite entertaining
