While working with Enesco, Jim Shore perfected his unique style, combining elements of folk art with a vibrant colour pallet applied to traditional themes. Taking designs derived from quilting, rosemaling, applique and flat perspective folk art, Jim created an authentic new work of art. To create the body of each crafted angel, he works imaginative designs within designs, and now he lends that same approach in 50+ line art pages for adults to colour and contemplate. Included are 50+ line-art angels grouped by seasons, with 10 of the designs including the option of three-dimensional elements. The 3-D bonus elements can be coloured, cut out, and attached to the main page with cushioned craft tape, creating a standalone piece that is a work of art in its own right. AUTHOR: Jim Shore worked professionally as an engineer while honing his skills as a sculptor and painter in his spare time. Drawn to art, he founded his own business, Designs Americana, and within three years had more than 350 employees. In 2001, Jim entered into an agreement with Enesco to create Heartwood Creek by Jim Shore, the line of folk-art inspired accessories that has brought him world-wide fame.
