minor problem
This is the first time I've used any streaming device. Right now(12/29/16) it seems that the last firmware update caused problems. I can't get logged in to google playstore. The guy I got this from said they were coming out with new firmware soon. I hope so. It's suppose to fix this problem. Not good when you can't download apps from the playstore.I think once I get the bugs worked out it's going to be nice. I also bought the Rii mini keyboard. Most functions work but not all. Typing in passwords and such are much easier with a qwerty remote. Overall I'm pretty satisfied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't purchase this assuming it's click click bam. You better know what u are doing !! You will require time on this product. I attempted and after days hours and watching tutorials on YouTube with no success I have no choice but to return product. It doesn't come with instructions except how to plug it in which a 5th grader can figure that out. The stuff that require step by step instructions aren't available. It's so complex. Plug n Play when fully loaded.
The box is easy to set up however the keyboard remote is a must for quick n easy navigation through the various apps. You'll also need an adaptor if you're buying from the US and receiving delivery in Europe or Aus/NZ. I'm a newbie when it comes to android TV and kodi so I went for a fully loaded box. This helps you get comfortable with what content is available and also reassurance you made a great purchase. It'll take a while to become familiar with where to find the exact content you want (which app, which add-on, which source/ stream) so be patient in the first few days. Remember not all channels and add ons will work all the time. It's not usually the fault of the box...instead it will be an issue with the server of the stream, or updated/ broken software. A few google searches and you'll find easy instructions on how to add channels or add-ons. If you are a complete tech newbie, watch a few YouTube vids about using the box, and also how Kodi works. The box is the stereo, kodi is the physical CD, the add-ons are the albums that goes on the CD and the streams are the songs on the CD. Or something like that. Very easy to use. Go for a fully loaded option and get the keyboard remote (usually has a wireless receiver you plug into the box). You might need to reprogram the keyboard remote...but the basics work fine out the box. Some HD streams rely on a good internet connection but this has nothing to do with the box. It is the older version of the box but does the job just like it is supposed to.
I factory reset it and then updated the firmware. Then I downloaded Kodi 18.8 Leia, then put the Crew app on it and it works fine 95% of the time. It does freeze up every once in a while and needs to be unplugged and restarted but then again I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone that I have too restart about every 12 days too so not a big deal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I bought this on the recommendation of a family member. I had a lot of difficulty setting it up and traded it in for a different box. The new box is wonderful. I still have trouble with using it since I'm still used to the cable box experience but once I figure it out, it should be great. My only complaint is that some of the signals (like FOX channel) did not work as well as I would have liked it to.
